Luxury Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle

For over 20 years Stanford Coachworks have built quality wheelchair accessible vehicles and during the last year, Stanfords have developed a high-end range of luxury passenger vehicles - the Monaco by Stanford range. We united our experience of wheelchair accessible conversions and luxury conversions to create a premium wheelchair accessible vehicle for Matt Hampson last year.

This year we have again merged the two design principles to create a luxury wheelchair passenger carrying vehicle. We have always created high quality wheelchair accessible minibuses and have offered high specification finishes. We believe that fine quality should be available to everyone, we never want our vehicle designs to stigmatise anyone. We believe they should stand out for the right reasons. This is exactly the same with our Monaco luxury wheelchair accessible vehicles. They are designed in the same way as our Monaco passenger vehicles, but allow space and access for wheelchair passengers. 

This particular Monaco was built for a family, who were recommended to us by Matt Hampson, which enabled them to travel together.  We built this for the Robinson family. George Robinson suffered spinal damage in Year 13  whilst playing rugby on a school trip in South Africa. After George’s accident, a trust was set up by his family and school to support him, #TeamGeorge produce merchandise and arrange charitable events to raise money ."George’s family, friends and school all want to help and support #TeamGeorge to raise money not just for George, but for all charities and institutions connected with spinal injury’s". The movement has gained support from the likes of Matt Hampson and David Beckham.
