Monaco Production Vehicles
At Monaco by Stanford we design a wide variety of vehicles. Something that we have established is a quality reputation for our production, splitter and tour bus conversions. Our flexible design approach makes us the leading choice for top tour operators as we can design a bespoke vehicle tailored to suit their specific client base.
Earlier in the year we were tasked with designing a one of a kind production vehicle for Wayne at Production Assist. Wayne’s bespoke tour bus with a twist includes a mobile barista coffee service. This means that he is able to transport his clients in a luxury extra-long wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter then provide them with quality refreshments whilst on set.
The Vehicle
Based on a Mercedes Sprinter 516, Wayne’s Monaco Production Vehicle featured 8 rear saloon passenger seats fitted to our tested floor with tracking. The flooring has then been overlaid with an Ebony Wood lino to give the vehicle an executive aesthetic. Each of the 8 seats has been upholstered in a Black and Artisan Dulce with silver piping. For additional storage, overhead luggage compartments have been installed along either side of the vehicle.
Wayne decided on a conference style seating layout for his vehicle, so we have fitted a large table with 4 cup holders between the rear 2 rows of seats. You don’t have to miss out if you’re sitting in the front row though as we have also installed a fold-up table which works well for business use.
To add to the luxury feel, the vehicle interior has been finished in a soft grey material. The roof has been lined with black suede and includes matching Artisan silver recessed panels along with a large sunroof.
Passenger comfort is high up on the priority list for entertainers recuperating on the vehicle. To ensure that passengers are as comfortable as possible we have included rear saloon air conditioning and heating. Each seating area also has its own individual touch sensitive LED down light. These lights include a white reading and blue comfort mode. Black curtains have been fitted to each window to make sleeping during the journey that little bit easier.
Client entertainment is a must for our tour conversions therefore we have installed 2 smart televisions at the front and rear of the vehicle with Apple TV. Power sockets with USB charging points have been fitted in each seating area. On board Wi-Fi has also been included.
To ensure that access to the Monaco Production Vehicle is easy for all we have installed electric steps at both the front door and side door entrances. Each step has a LED light to illuminate it.
The Front Cab Area
As Wayne would be driving the vehicle, we wanted to make sure that the front cab area was suited to all of his requirements. His vehicle is the first that we have converted to include a specialist area for his beautiful English Bulldog who tags along on many of his jobs. We have included a small partition with a dog seat belt and a curtain for Wayne to separate himself and his pal from his clients. We think she prefers the luxury passenger seats though!
The front cab also includes a fold-up seat for when Wayne isn’t accompanied by his furry friend. A digital safe has been installed beneath the seat for storage of valuable items. Both the fold-up seat and the driver’s seat have been reupholstered in the same material as the rear saloon so that the theme is consistent throughout.
We have included a number of features to the vehicle to help make driving less of a chore for Wayne, this includes:
Automatic transmission
360-degree parking camera
LED headlights
Reversing alarm
Run lock system
Vehicle tracker
The Mobile Barista Coffee Service
This Monaco Production Vehicle was full of firsts for us as it also doubled as a mobile barista coffee house! When on set, Wayne offers the additional service which means that he can supply his clients with quality refreshments.
Inside the passenger cabin we have installed a full-length counter with multiple storage compartments, a large pull out fridge and a Nespresso coffee machine. In the rear production area, we have installed a heavy-duty ramp so that Wayne can easily access his specialist barista coffee machine and grinder which we have fitted onto a wheeled unit.
An awning has been fitted to the side of the vehicle so that Wayne’s barista coffee service can be offered in any weather. Fold-away camping style seats and a table has also been supplied.
The production area
At the rear of the vehicle we have included a production area. This area can either be accessed from the passenger cabin via a coded lock door or via the rear vehicle doors. Inside we have installed a fold-away dressing table which is illuminated by multiple LED lighting strips. A U-shaped clothes rail and storage compartments for the camping style seats and table has also been included.
the technical equipment
Being a larger vehicle with various electrical components we have made sure that Wayne will be able to remain powered up throughout the whole day. To do so, we have included:
External hook-up
3000-watt mains inverter
Honda generator

We’re really glad that we could help Wayne create his prefect production vehicle set up and we wish him the best of luck with his vehicle and barista coffee service in the future.
